Call for a director for York Shakespeare Project’s 2017 production of The Winter’s Tale

Dedicated to performing all of Shakespeare’s plays by the end of 2020 roughly in chronological order it’s time for YSP to put on The Winter’s Tale. Thirty-one plays have been tackled so far, the most recent being Ben Prusiner’s production of Henry VIII running for 4 performances at Kings Manor.

For The Winter’s Tale the Committee have approved a director’s fee of £1,000. You are expected to rehearse on two evenings a week and one weekend afternoon for a period of at least 8 weeks. Performances to run towards the end of October/early November 2017.

Applications should include a C.V. and, on one side of A4, your current ideas for YSP’s The Winter’s Tale. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview in York.
