About Us

Founded in 2001, YSP is an unincorporated association registered as a charity.  With our production of The Tempest in 2022 we completed our original mission to stage “All the plays, all in York, all in 20 years”.

However, the YSP story does not end there!  In 2023 we entered an exciting new phase of the project, which will aim to stage the plays of Shakespeare alongside the greatest works by his contemporaries, over a period of 25 years.  Please sign up to our mailing list and follow us on social media to ensure that you don’t miss out on the latest news.
